When cats do that they are trying to say they are saying something is upsetting them. All you have to do to make it stop is figure out what it is. It could be that they don't feel good (maybe a trip to the vet is in order) or you are not doing something to their liking . They are pretty persnickity. I had 2 cats do that and both times it ended up being illness. They both developed Diabetes. The first one was too advanced to save(vet discovered other problems, too) and the second ended up on insulin. I had one other cat that did it when the litter box wasn't quite sterile enough for him . I hope you find out what she is trying to tell you. Maybe she just wants a bigger box .
