The amount of food sounds right on...but you did say he was getting lots of table scraps and treats so I would imagine cutting them out would be a good idea..get a high quality treat as they arent packed full of calories and mine dont go nuts for them because they dont taste like "candy" we buy Performatrin treats...they are $8 a bag but they only get one a day..or you can also try putting a few treats in a toy that drops out the treat as it rolls..that way he has to work for his treat and you can measure the amount of treats he gets...good luck!!
