hmm 1/2 a cup is what i'm feeding my 4.5lb girl. so that doesn't seem like a lot of food. I feed Wellness and Solid Gold Wee Bits. both big hits. The royal canin does have more fat in it then the ones i feed and some of the other premium foods. Maybe that is the problem.
