I personally believe the benefits of the chip outway the risk of a tumor.
My vet scans all his furpatients before examination, just to be sure they are who you say they are. What if someone broke into your house and snatched your puppy, and then he was found later miles away, How would you be able to prove he was infact yours? Both my babies are chipped and healthy.
