Sorry, but I hate to see Yorkies climb to the top of the AKC's popularity list! When there is great demand for a particular purebred, MONEY comes into play and the breed gets overproduced, causing an increase in genetic defects and more tragic situations such as some of the recent ones on this forum.
But of course, we KNEW they would become popular because they are just so WONDERFUL!
