well, that actually is one of the best and easiest ways to train a dog. treats, patience and consistancy. you need to dedicate a good chunk of time in a day, likely every day to have a puppy trained properly. for the first few weeks i had dexter i had treats on me at ALL times. i started just calling him over in the house and if he came, he got a treat. after a while we would try it outside, then around other people and other dogs. i probably spent close to 2 hours a day with training him and now i dont need the treats at all. all i have to say is dex, come and he comes no matter what is going on around him. keep the comands simple and consistant. if you are saying "come here" one time and "common" another, that will confuse a pup.
