Well friends, today is Franklin's fifth day at the vet. I called to check up on him earlier this morning. He did not vomit during the night, so the vet gave him a little bit of water. Well.. he drank it... and promptly threw it back up. (When I told the boyfriend this, he laughed and said "that's my boy!"
) She gave him some medicine to help with the nausea and said that they would try and give him some water again tonight. It will most likely be tomorrow before they try feeding him... if he doesn't throw up again.
I think at this point, I'm confident that he is stable enough to survive but we're still a little on edge. He just needs to start keeping down food and water. I'll be calling to check up on him later tonight and will keep you all updated as promised.
PS. I called to see if we would be able to come visit him as I think some cuddle time would do us both some good. Unfortunately, because Parvo is such a highly contagious disease, he is in an isolation ward and I am not able to go see him.
