Get yourself a bride orgainzer book. I think Barnes and Noble carry them.
Both my daughter's and daughter in law could not have done it without
having this book. It has everything you need to remember in it with little
pockets for receipts and log sheets for quotes, prices etc. It's just
great to have.
Good luck to you and your furture husband. |
Congratulations! How EXCITING! I LOVE weddings and actually wanted to become a planner, but it just didn't work out at the time.....
I totally agree...get one of those wedding planning notebooks; I got married 9 yrs ago and I STILL use mine! It's great for addresses and Christmas cards etc....but it was a LIFESAVER and is a fantastic Memento to remind me of all that we went thru and planned. It was the GREATEST time of my LIFE! Mine is called "Planning a Wedding to Remember" by Beverly Clark and it was like my bible that I took EVERYWHERE to mark down prices and the places I saw things at, the pockets you can put your caterer's menus in or fabric swatches (which is great when you're trying to match shoes to gowns etc) and has all the info on everyone involved with their phone #'s and any details you need! A book you might like to check out at the library (unless you want to buy one) is Colin Cowie Weddings. But the planner has a lot of good advice about choosing just about everything and things to keep in mind. All the best! Take lots of pictures b/c there will be so many things that just pop up while you're putting your wedding together and it's fun to have photos to look back on the little things that might be forgotten!
