Heat cycles last about 3 weeks. That doesnt mean she will bleed the whole time but she will be able to conceive during that time.

You'll probably notice her licking that area alot. They do this to keep themselves clean.

Also, you may notice her private area starting to stick out. This is normal and nothing to worry about. Just try to keep her away from males dogs at this point.

If you have any male dogs in the house, you're not gonna get any sleep until her heat cycle is over. The male will stay up all night long every night, howling and whining lol

Mood swings are normal. Just like women when they have their period, females in heat can get irritable as well. It's all normal. I would keep them seperate though.

If you dont plan on breeding her, I would suggest getting her fixed once her cycle is over. She will no longer go into heat and you wont have to worry about unplanned conceptions.
