Dogs don't sweat they pant and the heat can be dangerous. Long hair is not necessarily dangerous but I don't let my two out if the temp is over 85 degrees except early in the AM or later in the PM just to poop. They are in the AC when it is too hot. Also one is a cold weather freak and the other is a warm weather freak. So it is good to know what they can stand and judge accordingly. I find it hard to see my little girl (or my little guy...but he can with stand heat more) panting feverishly in the hot weather.....it really can be a danger.
