Beau is a Yorkie/Maltese mix. He had a Yorkie Daddy and a Maltese Mommy. He is an adorable mix of both! I got him from a local breeder (in TN). She breeds strictly Yorkies and her daughter, who lives in the same town, breeds championship Maltese. The daughter came over for dinner one night and the one second when they lost track of the dogs...you guessed what happened. Well, the breeder was really upset and was going to abort the litter, but the vet reassured her that she wouldn't have any trouble selling the puppies. She put the puppies in the local classifieds as a York-a-tese and when I saw that I thought, what the heck is that? I knew I wanted a mixed breed, and what better combination? When I saw him I just fell head over heels in love!!
I can't imagine his tail docked...it's one of the things I think is soooo cute! Especially when it wags a mile a minute.
Thanks everyone for the comments. We just recently lost our dog of 10 years and Beau has really helped my 4 boys with the loss. He is a little blessing!
