If you've got your heart set on a Yorkie I would suggest you hold out for that. When I was ready to get my Bella and saw the prices I also considered getting another breed but my best friend who knows me so well knew that I would still be yearning for a Yorkie. So we got our Bella and I'm so glad we did. I know it may be hard but I would suggest setting the $1000.00 aside and save up the rest over the next year and then money won't be a problem and you'll be in a position to get that Yorkie pup when you find him/her. I would also strongly suggest getting from a breeder in your area so that you can see the mom and the environment that they live in. I will never buy a dog unless I can see the mom, you can learn a lot from the momma. Good luck in your search! Don't worry, when you find the right one it will all work out
