Ughh! Lexie is the same way. What the pet store had her on was Nutro Puppy and before I had done any research the vet put her on Purina. Ever since I found out that she needed better food I went on a quest to find anything higher quality. I drove 45 minutes and searched every pet store and came up with Chicken Soup for the Puppy Lover's Soul as the only quality food. Lexie picks at it and definitely doesn't eat enough to keep her healthy. If she does eat any I praise her like there is no tomorrow! I've limited treats too, because they're the only thing she'll eat. I gave her a brand new yorkie yummy yesterday and she went crazy over it. Later in the day I gave her another and once again she did backflips, then after another few hours she came when called and I gave her another and she stuck up her nose! She won't touch them now! I'm so frustrated with her and I have no time to get to another town to try to find more food and ordering off the net to get something she still may not like is crazy! Sorry so long I just wanted to join the mommies of picky eaters club. |
