I thought the same too for awhile. I think it helps when the husband's nastiness is edited out. They have to have some type of "spin" or people wouldn't watch. He gets his jabs in. Many times he acts as if what ever he is doing for himself is the most important issue at hand and she gets stuck with all of it. The producers, directors etc just seem to keep anything that might be taken as negative from Kate in. (Most of the stuff she just took from Jon was cut out).
And for him to be the guy coming home from work picking on his overworked wife? He'd have hate mail for sure. Someone has to be in total control. You can tell Jon doesn't want to be, or can he be while at work. They are doing a fantastic job. And you get to here little remarks from people who look like death warmed over when being interviewed.
I think of nasty comments I have made to my dh as someone is walking in and not hearing what HE had to say. Then they butt in and take sides right away without knowing my comment was in defense of his rudeness.
They are great loving parents and I wish them health and happiness.
