 Medical update on Stanford (formerly Myles)
My neighbor just delivered Stannie to me after his vet visit.
Got lots of good info.
Estimated Age: 10 years (!)
Weight: 3 lbs (vet said he is very underweight)
Skin and Coat: In terrible condition. Vet ruled out mange, but said he might have an allergy to something. Coat is ragged and patchy, skin is flaky and dry. Lots of hair loss since I last had him.
No fleas or ticks.
Healthy otherwise. Needs to get his teeth cleaned, but not right away.
He is neutered.
Frankly, I am shocked at how bad he looks. Just a matchstick with bald spots and no meat on his bones.
So I have a senior on my hands. No wonder he mostly likes to lie on a pillow and snooze. No strenuous activity for him.
My big dog has to get his teeth cleaned on Friday, so I will take Stanford in with me and get him checked out, get shots, and find out what is really going on with his coat and skin. May be just lack of good food and vitamins.
