My parents had a little black dog named buddy. (she's actually a girl, but they didnt know it for a few weeks into having her so they let her keep the name since she new it...hahaha)

Well they just had to put her to sleep a couple of weeks ago. She was 23 years old. She was a mixed breed..they got her when she was just a tiny puppy from the shelter. She looks like a cockerspaniel and maybe a poodle, but she has longer legs.

I felt sooo very bad for my parents it was so hard, but she just got to the point where she couldnt move, walk, her eyes were bad. up until this year she was still running, playing, catching a frisbee and loved her tennis balls. She went down hill very fast after having what the vet thought was a stoke.

They had to have her put to sleep. She was a wonderful little friend to all.

I was telling Connie about this and she said it would be a interesting thread. She'd never heard of a dog living that long. I looked it up on the internet and found one dog lived to be 29 ( austrialian shepard)
