my layla is 5 months old.i take her out soon as she wakes up and then i time the next time and that seems to be working.how long are you out side with him?puppies seem to have to go as soon as they wake from a nap or wake from their night sleep.so far layla is doing ok but she still has a few acidents during the day if i dont catch her in time.soon as she gos out side i prase her then bring her in and give her a small treat.il say good girl you peepeed out side.then for the next time il say who has to pee pee out side and she will go to the door. you have to remember at 5 months they are babies and its going to take some time. good luck to you
