I hate going to the dentist too!!! I got some good advice last time i was there. Bring your MP3 player and listen to some music. I haven't tried it yet, but I'm bringing mine next time I go. Plus, why does the hygienist try and talk to you while she's got your mouth wide open??? I never understood that....
When i go to the dentist, I lay there in the chair and sweat like a pig because I'm so nervous! I have only had a couple of cavities in my lifetime, but recently i complained about a front tooth that was yellowing and the next thing i know I'm getting a root canal and crown put in. Traumatizing!! Not too mention the $1500+ bill.
Before i had this done i was so nervous it was going to be painful, but turns out, the numbing shots weren't even that bad and after that i couldn't feel a thing. The only bad part was when i needed to use the restroom in the middle of the procedure and made the mistake of smiling in the mirror and having no front tooth. OMG!!!
