Hi everyone, thanks for the warm thoughts and prayers. Yesterday the wait was excrutiating. We arrived at TX childrens at 4ish, we had to start over in an ER. It took forever and my persistance to get the iv hooked back, it was not till after 6:30 pm that they finally showed up with antibiotics. He had come with a bag of antibiotics but it was thrown away when we got to TCH
. We were told it would be a couple of hours before surgery. Meanwhile Andrew was soo thirsty but he was not allowed to drink. Finally after my bugging, he was taken to surgery at 9ish, only to have to wait there some more. It was 10pm when the docs got serious and took him in for surgery. At 11pm we were told his appendice was out but it had burst and spread. He will require HEAVY doses of antibiotics to keep an infection from occurring, pray for an abcess not to form. The doc guesstimates Andrew will be in the hospital at least 1 week or more
