Not to sound like a jerk but I am a bit offended by this statement. We sell our puppies from $1500 to 2k. They are champion sired, include all shots, an Avid chip, 1 yr health guarentee, 6 months of heartguard and flea and tick prevention, etc.
We love our puppies as part of the family and take extreme time and care in raising only the best Yorkies you'll find (just see our testimonials page from people that have purchased our puppes).
So to say we are in it for a quick buck? I don't see how spending hours a day for 12 to 15 weeks per puppy is a "quick" buck. It is NOT a simple task to be a good breeder. There are many other breeders in our area that sell for 2-4k a puppy, we just don't.
In fact, a family we sold a puppy to two years ago wanted another. We only had one puppy remaining from the litter and we were going to keep her for future breeding. They offered us 10k (not a joke) for her and we turned it down. So if we WERE in it for a "quick" buck as you say, she would have been sold. Instead, we would raise her for two years before she would be ready for breeding.
I am quite sure you can a reputable breeder in your price range but your blanket statement is false.
