i am nursing a 3 day old now and exhausted myself...sorry to here you lost one...the mother is not my dog...but he is the daddy...mommie was not doing her job and killed two of them and i saved the last....i with the owner would of called me soon than she did and all three would be here. i am musling the mother and putting he baby on and timming her feedings...the first 72 hour i did this ever hour and now she is every 2 or 2.5 on feeding. if you pull the back of it's neck and the skin stays up easily than the baby is dehydrated and need to have fluids also. heating pads are great...but i use a heat lamp that gives an all over temp instead of it laying in one position on the heat. i put a small thermomiter in there also to regulate temp. if you need help or just to chat feel free to email me at
