It really does just take some time. My Jamie whined the first couple of days when I left him alone in his playpen to go to work. I on the other hand flat out BAWLED everytime I left him for a solid week (so sue me I'm a cry baby!). So my best advice is Be Tough. It is harder on you than it is on him. I quickly realized that right after I left Jamie would curl up and go to sleep. It's like with skin babies. If you make a big deal about leaving then they will think its a big deal and react accordingly. Be calm and say "Bye bye buddy!" and get out quick before you cry!
