 Scruffy going strong with CHF
well, just an update. Scruffy was diagnosed with congestive heart failure 2 years ago Jan. He is on Lasix, aminophylline, and enacard...he is doing well.
He recently had a collapsed trachea as well, but breathing fine and happy as a lamb---except for his cough which is good most days and bad some.
I am just letting all know that when he was first diagnosed he was given 3 weeks to 6 mos.....I am fortunate to have him still, and hope that he continues well, for many more mos. I do know that I need to prepare but for now he is a very happy little 15 year old! There is some hope for these dreaded diagnoses sometimes and love them and take care of them and thats all we can do--thanks to all for your support! |
