I've always been told and read somewhere on the Internet as well that pork is bad for furkids, as they cannot digest it, something about the enzymes and their digestive system. I know for a fact that my Uncle almost lost his golden retriever some years back because he gave him a slice of ham on Christmas. He ended up in the ER hospital with her, she almost died, $2000 later after a tough battle, he learned NEVER to give ham to his furkid again. That's why when I went to get a better dogfood for Maggy, I was in a hurry cause the store was closing and didn't get to read over the ingredients as well as I normally would have, I grabbed "Natures Best" I'm pretty sure that's what it was called. When I got home and posted about it, one of the gals here pointed out that it had pork in it and I was like The next day I took it right back to the store and got a full refund and now my girls on Wellness Just For Puppies. I'll NEVER knowingly give our furkids pork of any kind.
