Glad to hear that you are wise about taking on an animal with illnesses, and knowing your limits.

As I said before, praying you can make the best decision for all involved - 2-legged & 4-legged.
I HAVE discussed it with him. He has absolutely NO idea other than if I want to get the dog and it seems like it's going to be a good fit (even though he's afraid that Max will feel left out if we get another dog b/c I pretty much spend every waking (and sleeping minute) with him and only him ..broken up by cat time and bird time....he'll accept it. I'm asking for informed opinions on what might be things to look for when I go to meet this, or these Yorkies, so that I can make hopefully the best decision for everyone. My husband is out of town all week every week and cannot go see the dogs. He'd be happy with just Max as I've pointed out, but he's not the one who is here all the time and when he IS here, he plays with Max for about a minute or two (the rest of the time, he wants Max to either sit on the sofa with him, or lie in the bed while he naps, which is nice for HIM, and I'm not blaming him)....which is one reason I think it would be good for Max to have a companion, in addition to the fact that I've had a lot of animals and I just have always felt like everything should have at least one other of the same species. And if I know my dh like I am pretty sure I do, he'll wind up loving the dog as much as he does Max, he's just not good at any change whatsoever.....you just have to do it and then he'll get used to it and love it .
