Good idea to skip the collar. I had two bad experiences with collars so we go collar free. One got caught on something and luckily she didn't choke to death and the other slipped it over her bottom jaw and got it in her mouth and she was flopping all over the place. Luckily I was there both times to catch it in time but NO more collars for us.
