I agree with most people on here, it depends on the dog, how he was bred, trained, etc. Some pits can be really nice. My parents have a boxer and they are known to be really good dogs, but he can actually be mean and cannot be around people he doesn't know (he's great w/ smaller animals and dogs though). The other boxers we had were great with people though, so there's always an exception to any breed. I know of some pits that are really nice, but then you always hear these horror stories of them. Just make sure you are able to do all the training necessary, and if you are going to let them play together, don't leave them unsupervised. If I personally was going to get a pit I would have to do extensive research on the breeders lines, a lot of training, etc just to be safe, but I still probably wouldn't get one while I have my yorkies. Other breeds of larger dogs (such as boxers) I would get while I have my yorkies.
