I personally would be wary of owning any big dog with my yorkies. I know a lot of people do it, but I'd always be afraid. A big dog could hurt a yorkie accidentally...not even being aggressive..just an accident.

I would personally never own a pitt bull. I don't believe they are all aggressive, but many of them are. If someone really wants a pitt, they need to go through a reputable breeder that breeds for a gentle termperament. When you take a chance on a breeder that doesn't care or purposely breeds aggressive dogs, your chances of getting a dog with aggressive tendencies will be greater (I guess this is true with ANY beed..not just pitts). I also don't think a pitt is for everyone. This is a very strong breed and they need a lot more training than your average dog requires - so a pitt owner must be committed to strict training and continually working with their dog.

I can't help but be wary of any pitt I meet at first...I don't know that dog and I do know that breed has a bad rap. however, I am usually wary with a lot of larger breeds, especially around my yorkies. I'm not a fan of the bully breed look...I prefer cutesy little dogs with long hair...if I owned a large dog, it would be a long haired breed. But like I said, I'm afraid to own any big dog with my little yorkies
