I feed raw, but I believe homecooking is the second best way to go. After that, I suggest a premium grain-free canned food such as Innova Evo and Nature's Variety Instinct (comes in several protein sources) - if you want to keep grains, there is regular Innova, Nature's Variety Prairie, California Natural, Merrick, Wellness, and Canidae. I recommend a quality canned food over kibble - it is less processed and contains important moisture.
