I agree completely that the puppy should have all of its shots before going to the groomer. My mom and dad yorkies go to the groomer about every 6 to 8 weeks, depending on the time of year. Their baby is 14 weeks and will not be going to the groomer until she has her last round of shots, including the bordetella (Kennel Cough) which won't be for another 3 weeks. My groomers have a beautiful little shop and it is very clean, but they cannot know what the dogs will bring in so I think it is very important that they have the bordetella, which isn't really a shot, but given up their nose. Better safe than sorry, Kennel Cough can be very dangerous and hard to get rid of especially in our little guys. |
