Can someone give me an estimate it would be for someone to pay a handler to show a dog (from Puppy to finish)?
When starting to show, which sex would be great to start with (I know it's my own decision but wanted to know exhibitors experiences)?
Have anyone heard of someone buying a dog/puppy to show but decide to co-own him/her with an exhibitor to show and they both continue to co-own(it would be like sharing fees: One person pays for the dog and the other pays to get the dog champion)?

Thanks
I would suggest that you go to shows and watch and meet people and also visit the YTCA.ORG site so you don't limit yourself to just getting to know people in your area. You have plenty of time to learn and get to know a lot of Yorkie Breeder/Exhibitors. My mother had Chihuahuas all of my life and I have always had an eye for a dog.
I started with a male and by our second show we were taking BOB when he was only 10 months old. I really enjoyed learning with him. Then when it was time to compete for his Majors I sent him with a handler because I didn't want to hold him back he was ready to win and proving that when I was showing him and he was in full coat and had been trained by me so that also lessened the time he was out with a handler. He finished very quickly.
I would suggest you study pedigrees, that will help you also in knowing what breeder is producing the look you like.
There are many Show Breeders with webpages I would spend a lot of time cruising the internet and looking at webpages, pictures and pedigrees. Go to the shows and get to know the breeders, get the catalogs so you can see who the breeder is of the dogs you like.
Most often you will have to CO-Own with the breeder until you have finished the dog. But they do not normally cover any expenses on showing it just helps them in having a bit of control to see that the dog is indeed being shown. We have placed before with a Show Contract with no CO-Ownership and we have had a few people who have burnt us on this. So from now on we will have to CO-Own to ensure our dogs are indeed being shown and not just being purchased to be bred.
