Unaltered cats are a complete nuisance...I can only understand having one if you are a cat breeder. At least female dogs only go into heat once-twice a year...and there are leash laws so dogs *shouldn't be roaming*. There are no leash laws for cats...

There is no reason to not alter a cat unless you are purposely breeding them. Not only for health benefits, but also because unaltered cats are VERY hard to live with


I'm not saying that people shouldn't alter their cats though. I think it is silly to let cats breed uncontrollably (so outdoor cats would have to be spayed/neutered but I don't need the gov't to tell me that. I used my brain. And I don't like being forced into anything like that. I wouldn't want to see an indoor cat in heat all the time but still, it is MY choice. I know it might be difficult to enforce but why can't they come up with a law for the people who DO let their animals breed uncontrollably? Not a law for responsible people.
