Unaltered cats are a complete nuisance...I can only understand having one if you are a cat breeder. At least female dogs only go into heat once-twice a year...and there are leash laws so dogs *shouldn't be roaming*. There are no leash laws for cats...
There is no reason to not alter a cat unless you are purposely breeding them. Not only for health benefits, but also because unaltered cats are VERY hard to live with |
I'm not saying that people shouldn't alter their cats though. I think it is silly to let cats breed uncontrollably (so outdoor cats would have to be spayed/neutered but I don't need the gov't to tell me that. I used my brain.

And I don't like being forced into anything like that. I wouldn't want to see an indoor cat in heat all the time but still, it is MY choice. I know it might be difficult to enforce but why can't they come up with a law for the people who DO let their animals breed uncontrollably? Not a law for responsible people.
