Make sure you go back to it for the most part unles you are watching him. Only take him out for potty breaks. Or if you are in the same room to watch him. When he figures out he is in there all the time that isn't his bathroom its his home. He should stop. Sometimes its like small children we have to go back to square one. Take hime out and reward him for going to the potty outside not in his crate. Put him in there at night time as well.
