It fastens with Velcro. I have the xxs ones, and they seem to hold pretty tight. I guess it depends on the dog if it is tight enough. Maybe you could test one out and see if it holds well enough for your doggy?
I love all the prints....I can't wait to get some more. They look like they'd be pretty comfy in summer too....light weight enough.
