Another thing that has made a huge difference is that we give her treats while grooming her. We normally feed Canidae food, but for grooming, we give Timberwolf dog food. It has the tiniest kibble that I have ever seen. This way, you are not going overboard by giving a ton of regular sized treats. She doesn't need as many now, but in the beginning, I actually gave her one kibble each time I comb a knot or cut out a knot. Even when I was combing through her, I would stop a lot and give her a kibble. She loves that and has helped a ton!
