I am not sure which one you have but mine you set for a certain amount of time then after its done cooking it will automatically set to "warm" that way it doesn't continue to cook it, it just keeps it warm. You just need to find the recipes that cook for 8 hrs or more and they cook themselves you don't have to do anything to them!!
