You can spay or neuter a dog when it is at least 2lbs...doesn't really matter what age. 6 months has been the traditional thing to do so a lot of vets still wait until then, but more and more vets are spaying/neutering earlier now...as early as 8 weeks. I've seen many vets that will spay/neuter at 12-16 weeks of age.
