Aaaahhhhhh hugs to you. Little Lana did go through a lot -- spaying is a major surgery, not to mention pulling 13 teeth! BUT it is over with now and she is home safe and sound and will be a much healther dog for it. I wouldn't worry too much that your vet had not heard of the food you are feeding. Most vets are NOT canine nutritionists - which is evident by the way they push the Science Diet, Eukanaba, and Iams foods. My vet had never heard of Canidae - I am educating her on GOOD dog food.
