hypoglycemia can happen in a dog any age....... with little dogs, they have trouble managing their blood sugar, ANY LITTLE DOG CAN HAVE IT, and also it can happen at any time.... i havent given toby ANY nutrical since we got him at 12 weeks old (he is now 5 months)..... and out of the clear blue last week he got "sick" .... he was lethargic, his gums were white, he wouldnt eat, no energy...... and this was the only time he has ever crashed, good thing i cought nutrical when i got him (just in case).... nutrical is a GREAT thing to have on hand even if there has been no history of hypoglycemia..... (and let me also point out that is doesnt have to be a small dog to have this....... toby weighed in at 8lbs, so he is a big guy and he still had this incident....)
