I don't really know what to expect from a young puppy like that and most of all a Terrier. Sooooo Enzo will make it to the Puppy pad to go pee after he wakes up and after playing. I also make sure to pay attention to him to pee on the pad. But the second i don't look he pees just a little anywhere on the title in our condo. That i can still live with because i know i still have some much time to work on that. Here's the problem... Enzo will hold in his poop the entire day and not go on the pad at all. As soon as he gets out of his kitchen and dinning room area (that's where we try to get him to stay since it's tile) he runs to find carpet and poops there instantly. I know i've only had him for a week or so, so i shouldn't expect anything big. But i'm kind of a neat freak and it bugs me just a little when he poops on my carpet. I really want to be doing things right with him from the very beginning. Please help. I'm wide open for all advice.

I also got my little puppy when she was 8 weeks. I started straight away with potty training in a cat litter box (so quite big box). She got it really quickly, I just put her inside and waited until she did her needs, gave her a big treat and just kept on doing that until she got it. Of course she pooped and peed elsewhere in the beginning, that is just what puppies do, but just be consistent. When she was small she could not jump inside the box by her self, but now she is big enough to go inside, and she never fails! Its important to keep it very clean though, she refuse to walk in if there is still poop or pee there, haha (very posh)! Now she is 7 months and never do it elswhere than the litter box! So maybe its a good idea to just put a big box... And use cat-sand (I also put newspaper, just one layer on top), it takes the smell away. Good luck!
