With mine it's def. allergies. TJ's eyes don't run that much anymore. He does wake up with clear eye goop though. Roxy get HUGE globs of eye goop all the time, sometimes I don't know how she sees, b/c its spread accross her eye ball
And then she just flllloooowwwwssss with clear tears. I try to keep up with the vaccuming, and keeping everything washed and hypoallergenic, but it doesn't seem to do anything
