Mine is too!
I mounted a stick on thermometer on the side of his bowl and he flared at it so much and just wouldn't quit, that I finally had to take it down.
And when I added pretty "cube" rocks, he would slam into them and he got a small scrape so I had to take that out too!
He apparently just likes his one plant
