This post reminds me why I need to keep a comprehensive insurance plan on my little one You US'ers are lucky in that sense, your pet insurance seems to be much cheaper than up here.

Yes but you have to watch what kind of insurance plan you have and read the small print....some plans here in Canada will not cover costs for all situations and you have to make sure you follow all requirements when going to the vet.
