Welcome to YT!! I understand how you feel but your on the right track..what i did too was get a baby blanket and per my breeder slept with it to get my scent on it and i use to leave that in the playpen with Nathan and he never cried at night and doesn't cry now on the days i go into the office. i do make a point to get up early enough before going to work to give him about a hour playtime running around with me while i am getting ready for work and he goes out to potty again and in the playpen til i come home, out to potty and he has free reign til its bedtime. I try not to put him in his playpen unless its bedtime or time for me to leave and i can' take him with me!!
We are now experimenting with him sleeping in his bed on the floor in my room and so far so good ..but i do have up the baby gate to contain him in my room just in case!!!
