Sorry about your baby. I had 2 yorkies that had mild cases of collapsed trachea and lived to be 13 years old and the collapsed trachea only acted up when they got excited. My last yorkie had a severely collapsed trachea and did have complications that shortened her life. I was told to never use a collar, don't let them get overweight and your vet can prescribe meds to help if it gets really bad. I hope she has a mild case and meds can help.
