I only have maybe one litter a year. It's hard for me to let go of a puppy and I can't imagine letting go of a female or male but it may have to come to that one day but it will be what's in the best for my dog. And that's to be in a loving home but I"m hoping it will never come to that. And if it were to come to that at some point I would make no money because they would be placed with a family member or someone that is wanting an older yorkie "FREE" of charge
But with that said I really prefer to show than breed and my goal is to show yorkies for other people one day. I hope that made sense.

So to me it sounds like some breeders are in the "business" of making money and some are in the "business" of keeping the breed as healthy and true to standards as possible. As I posted above I'm so glad to hear that you've kept your retired breeders

. Those breeders that do rehome their retired breeders must be looking at the breeding as a business (whether money or breed standard) because they could never give away a family member but they could retire piece of the business. And I'm not judging

, I don't doubt that most breeders have the best interest of the dogs at heart, take very good care of them and work hard to put them in a good home. It does show me that this is a business and these dogs are not truely part of their families. Again, not judging because we need good breeders. Without you all we wouldn't have our babies. Thank you for answering my questions
