It sounds like the puppies have you trained good.....ha, ha. All kidding aside, just take some dry puppy food, put it in a blender and grind it until it is very fine. A six week old puppy will eat this very well and you don't have to worry about mom gobbling it up and it won't spoil. I recommend a good quality dry food like Canidae, Chicken Soup or Solid Gold puppy. You can still offer them the mush a couple times a day but most of my babies really like the dry food. Twice a day I give my the ground up dry food with a little canned Pedigree Lamb and Rice. At 6 weeks it does not have to be too mushy, just moist. Just curious, is there a reason the mom can't spend the night with them or be able to go to them when they need her? I know some moms totally loose interest early but I have been fortunate in that has not happened to me. |
