So the problem is that PayPal IS going to return the money to you, correct? It is just going to take a while for that to happen and in the meantime they already took the money out of your checking account and it overdrew you? And now you will be charged overdraft fee's by the bank? Is that right?? Good Lord I would be FURIOUS!!

Do you think that if you called your bank and explained the problem, that they would take off the fees? Or at least SOME of the fees? Since this whole situation is really out of your hands and you have no control over it. I don't know if you happen to use Wells Fargo by any chance, but my sister does and I remember once she got totally screwed up at the bank over something...I can't even remember what happened now it's been so long ago but they took off almost ALL of the fees she was being charged (except one or two I think).

That's a good idea- banks can be very understanding if you just ask. I have an account I used to use for a business that I no longer have. I still have the account and just use it for PayPal transactions. The problem is no money ever goes into the account unless I remember to do a transfer from our primary account. Well once I wasn't paying attention and way overdrew on it. I had been charged quite a bit in daily fees. My husband called and they withdrew all of the charges. Maybe your bank will work with you.
