What my 11 1/2 year old son Lincoln did! While playing some crazy game about being Transformers with his brother's last night, he proceeded to jab a cell phone antenna into his 10 1/2 year old brother Garrett's ear! Lincoln told him he was putting him out of commission while Garrett was knocked down on the ground. I was down in the basement doing laundry and hear Garrett scream out in pain, the last time he screamed like that was when he broke his arm so I was thinking that while running up the steps to get to him. He had blood coming out of his ear
Garrett has a perforated ear drum and slight hearing loss that should be back to normal in the next few weeks. Later that night when I called my mother to tell her what happened I was like you think that with their age they would not think to ram something into an ear like that, It's not like they are 5 years old! My mom told me about when my oldest sister put a bobby pin in her ear when she was little,but she was under 5 when she did that! Lincoln felt horrible that he had hurt his favorite brother, but I had to let him know that he was old enough to know better! He does have ADHD and doesn't tend to think before he does things but oh my, why would he do something like that when he knows it would hurt?!?
