You actually don't hear it very often, you are right. Except I do have a step-niece named Brooke (we call her "little Brooke" since she is only 8) and my cousin Zac is dating a girl named Brooke as well. It was SO WEIRD at Christmas whenever everyone was over and there were THREE Brooke's cause that just isn't THAT common of a name - and there we had 3 Brooke's in one house
Anytime someone said "Brooke" - we all turned our heads
